Geo-information
Spatial data. A clearer perspective. Better-informed decisions.
Our perspective
Human activities and global warming are rapidly contributing to environmental degradation, unprecedented rainfall, changes in land use and land cover, forest degradation, floods and shortfalls in agricultural crop production. These issues need timely monitoring and supervision. Effective monitoring of the environment requires valuable information and data that can be extracted through geospatial technologies such as remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
GIPEA AFRICA extracts vector data to create GIS data-rich maps for various industry applications including agriculture, disaster management, energy and environmental monitoring. We incorporate GIS data to achieve a multi-layered result for many types of analysis and management pertaining to your project.
Our GIS mapping services allow us to capture, store, manipulate and analyze geospatial data — combining database, mapping and statistical methods to integrate georeferenced data for collection, processing and management.
We are committed to quality control and provide continuing geodesy, mapping, ArcGIS 2D and 3D geospatial support services. We use in-house knowledge in geodesy, land and hydrographic surveying, 2D/3D digital mapping, GIS and satellite remote sensing applications.
One of our primary services during a GIS project is the georeferencing of GIS data layers for mapping projection. We have developed comprehensive policy and procedures to include QA and QC in the planning stage of every project.
